MISSION STATEMENT:

            Helping Hand is a crisis intervention agency whose basic purpose is to minister to the need of the community not met by existing institutions.

Volunteers at Volunteer Appreciation Dinner  

PURPOSE:

            We are a crisis intervention and referral agency whose mission is to provide assistance to those in need in our community.  Helping Hand provides food, rent and utility assistance,  gasoline, local and long distance bus tickets, prescription medications, diapers, hygiene items and referrals to other appropriate agencies.

HOW YOU CAN HELP:

• Financial Help- money to be donated to provide direct client aid
• Material Help- non-perishable food items and toiletry articles to  be provided to clients
• Volunteer Help- serve as a receptionist in our office 3 hours per week, or as a pantry manager.
  Helping Hand of Myrtle Beach relies heavily on volunteer assistance. Over 20 volunteers provide services to Helping Hand of Myrtle Beach. You can offer your help as well. We need pantry managers who work in our pantry, stocking shelves, assembling hygiene kits, or filling bags of food for our clients. Volunteers also provide office services, greeting clients, filing, and answering telephones. Most volunteers work 3 - hours weekly, bi-weekly, or as substitutes. Training is provided.
